A special meeting will be held in the Community of Deline to consider and approve the Deline Constitution on February 27, 2014. Every voter will receive an information package that contains details of the meeting. The Constitution must be approved by the Deline First Nation and the Deline Land Corporation before the self-government agreement vote happens. Everyone eligible to vote on the Final Self-Government Agreement is also eligible to vote on the Constitution.
There have been six public workshops between 2007 and 2011 where Deline residents gave instructions about what should be in the Constitution. This led to the the ninth and final draft, dated November 19, 2013.
