The SK IPCA Traditional Knowledge Advisor reports to the Sahtú K’aowe IPCA Manager, Ɂene Naweré (Lands Resources, and Environment Department) and is responsible for participating in SK IPCA negotiations and establishment activities including: (1) negotiating a Partnership Agreement with the GNWT consistent with the approved negotiating mandate; (2) ongoing engagement and liaison with the community, leadership, Elders, traditional knowledge holders, and land users throughout the negotiations; and (3) other activities as directed. The SK IPCA Traditional Knowledge Advisor is responsible for ensuring all aspects of Sahtúgot’ı̨nę Traditional Knowledge are central in the Partnership Agreement and the SK IPCA negotiations are grounded in Dene ts’ı̨lı̨ (who we are, the whole concept of what being Dene means to our grandparents, including language culture and spirituality).
