Mr. David Ramsay
TechiɂQ Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Ramsay as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Dave grew up in Yellowknife and spent 40 years in the NWT. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in northern government, corporate development, and Indigenous partnership building. A respected northern leader known across the Northwest Territories and throughout the Sahtu, Dave has spent decades working closely with Elders, community leaders, and regional partners to advance economic development and strengthen northern communities.
Dave has had a very distinguished 20 year career in politics in the NWT, he served as Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment; Minister of Transportation; Minister of Justice; and Attorney General. In these roles, he oversaw the Territories economic strategy and delivered major infrastructure investments—including over $1 billion in transportation projects. He also led many international trade missions promoting northern investment opportunities in Asia, Europe and Africa, Dave also served as the Regulator of Oil and Gas for the NWT. He was a member of the Legislative Assemblies Board of Management from 2003-2015.
Upon leaving politics, Dave has been a key consultant and advisor to companies like E. Gruben’s Transport, AltaGas, Northwind Industries, and Horizon North where he has led northern business development, built Indigenous partnerships, and supported Indigenous governments and organizations in securing investment and long-term opportunities. Dave also served several years on the Board of Directors of Denendeh Investment Incorporated. Dave also serves on the Board of Directors of Fortune Minerals Ltd., providing governance oversight and advice on one of the NWT’s most notable mining projects.
As CEO, Dave will oversee all TechiɂQ subsidiaries—including Grey Goose Lodge Ltd., Sahcho Property Development Ltd., and TechiɂQ’s other community-owned ventures. He will work closely with the TechiɂQ Board and the Délı̨nę Got’ı̨nę Government to stabilize operations, strengthen governance, build strategic partnerships, and advance economic opportunities for the people of Délı̨nę.
