Director of Beneficiary Services

With the population of approximately 480 people, Deline, NT is a fly-in-community located on the shores of Great Bear in the Sahtu Region. The Deline Final Self-Government Agreement (DFSGA) took effect on September 01, 2016 and the Deline K’aowedo Ke (DKK/Main Council) is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, responsible Director of Beneficiary Services.

The Director of Beneficiary Services reports to the Chair of the Dene Gha Gok’e rehkw’i (DGGR or Beneficiary Board) and to the Deline Got’ine Government Chief Executive Officer.

The responsibilities of this position include:
 Managing and supporting Beneficiaries Service staff
 Oversee the implementation of member enrollment and citizenship register
 Communication with Sahtu Secretariat Inc. (SSI) and Beneficiary Services
 Identify and preparing employment positions for students and supporting community programming
 For internal and external Beneficiary Service Communications in accordance with Deline Got’ine Government communication plan.
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are beneficial for this position:
 Comprehensive knowledge of community programming and benefits administration
 Ability to read and understand relevant acts, manual, employment agreement regulation and procedure.
 Strong communication and managerial skills
 Must be familiar with heritage, cultural and linguistic of Deline people
 General accounting principles
 Relevant administration policy and procedure
